Abstract Vaudeville in Pulp magazine

Abstract Vaudeville: The Work of Rose English is featured in the new issue of Pulp, a quarterly journal created for Fedrigoni by Eye magazine. Here is a fragment from the article:

‘English first made waves among the British cultural scene with a series of remarkable tableaux, often involving music, horses and young women. She demonstrated a talent for collaboration, and the story of her life and work, now documented in a substantial book for Ridinghouse, is also a story of friends and collaborators. Editor Martha Fleming weaves together many strands of storytelling, anecdote, conversation, contemporary reviews and observation to create a vivid and subtle account of an artist whose contradictions are summed up neatly in the almost oxymoronic title Abstract Vaudeville. The design of this complex project was entrusted to young Belgian designer Sarah Schrauwen.’
