Stone Drawing: St John’s College Oxford is a 64-page artist’s book by British artist Susanna Heron. It is published to coincide with the completion of Stone Drawing (2014–2019), a grandiose work of art located on both external and internal faces of the stone wall that forms the west side of the new Library and Study Centre by Wright & Wright Architects at St John’s College Oxford.
Susanna creates site-specific and large-scale pieces, often in stone relief. For the book cover, we decided to emboss one of the original Red Drawings she made during her research phase at the beginning of this major project.
The book was printed by L.capitan and finished with OTA binding by Brepols.
